Established in 1961 with a production capacity of 1000 tonnes in the manufacturing of biscuits, ETİ currently has an expanded production facility of 200,000 tonnes with food products ranging from Biscuits, Cakes and chocolates. As a pilot project with the Ankara warehouse, the arrival times of 120 field sales trucks are to be estimated to facilitate a working schedule of the inhouse order picking, product staging and truck loading activities. Sales trucks complete their daily route visitations and return back to the warehouse for the next days’s loading to be done. Since most of the trucks arrive in the same time window , long queues accrue and cogestion occurs at the staging area of the warehouse. Our aim in this project is to  use the arrival times estimated to find an optimal truck loading schedule that achieve an effective and efficient order picking, load staging, gate assignment, perssonel assignment and other miscellaneous resource assignment in the warehouse.
