Arçelik A.Ş. is a company in durable consumer goods sector.  Materials are hold in an interim area called supermarket before they are sent to assembly lines in Washing Machine Plant of Arçelik. Non-value added tasks like preparation of packages are performed here. The materials may be sent to assembly lines earlier or later than needed, since there is not a part-feeding system. Because of these reasons, problems like stoppages of assembly lines and excessive stock near stations occur. As a result of conducted observations, main symptoms of the problem are determined as stoppages of assembly lines and excessive stock near stations. Problem is defined as minimizing the occurrence of stoppages of assembly lines. To solve the problem, a 3-steps heuristics which does routing, loading and scheduling is developed in the light of part-feeding studies in literature. In this approach, two solution alternatives are developed: (i) minimum stock keeping amount near stations with a certain AGV number or (ii) minimum required AGV number with a certain stock keeping amount.
