Arçelik produced its first compressor in 1977. The compressor plant which is located in Eskişehir supplies most of its product to other plant which produces refrigerator in Eskişehir. In line with the automation projects and lean manufacturing policy of Arçelik in the last years, assembly line in compressor plant is getting more automated. Due to the frequently observed failures and rework operations, project aims to decrease the time and product waste via balancing the line. Moreover, the project is targeted to increase the production amount and to decrease the number of workers on the line.
